Would not clear the clog
This plunger did not work at all to clear the clog. I had to call the community maintenance guy to come take care of it. I'm guessing that it may have a crack in it where the air may be escaping.

The MP500 moves 8 cups of water per stroke through a tri-level nozzle that seals in toilets and kitchen sinks. The maker also lists it for bathroom sinks, tubs and laundry tubs. It comes in black, white or plum with a short bucket, or in black with a tall one.
Its air relief valve opens with a quarter turn of the handle. Open it for the first press on a full bowl so the air goes out the top, then close it and plunge. One owner, 76 years old, said it didn't take much strength once the twist made sense.
Complaints center on the seal. Some owners heard air hiss through the seams or the handle joint, and a few found the hard plastic lip wouldn't grip their bowl. With the tall bucket version, one owner found the long accordion toppled sideways before it built pressure.

Clogged toilet: the short version
Stop the water
Don't flush again. If the bowl is near the rim, close the shutoff valve behind the toilet.
Protect the floor
Lay old towels around the base and put on rubber gloves. Keep a bucket close for bailing.
Set the water level
You want water over the plunger's nose and room below the rim. Bail some out if the bowl is full, or pour some in from a jug if it's low.
Seat the nose and let the air out
Put the nose into the outlet at the bottom of the bowl. Press down slowly the first time, so the air leaves through the valve instead of lifting water over the rim.
Work the strokes
Pull up to fill the bellows, then push down firmly. Keep a steady rhythm for 15 to 20 strokes without breaking the seal.

What is the quarter turn of the handle for?
It opens the air relief valve. Open it for the first slow press so the air escapes, then turn it closed and plunge with the bellows full of water.

Took a long time to unclog toilet
It didn't work very easily. I had another one in the past that spelled much faster and better.
Ineffective
I have another plunger with this design and it is great. This one, not so much. When I pump the plunger down, air comes hissing through the seams. I can’t get any pressure to clear the toilet. I have to run upstairs and grab the other plunger to clear the blockage. This one is just ineffective

Had slow drain for weeks try the regular plunger and nothing try the mp500 with the reverse all cleared

Much better than a traditional plunger! The design and air release valve make it super effective and easy to use. Highly recommend this, especially for older homes, save yourself the cost of a plumber and get this instead. It is very durable and has held up well. The color is a true black which blends in nicely for my space. It really works and is worth every penny!
