The Shorty is the plunger for the drains you use every day: kitchen and bathroom sinks, showers, tubs and floor drains. It moves 4 cups of water per stroke, and the maker puts that at double a standard rubber cup. At 13 inches it fits in the cabinet next to the drain it serves.
Owners describe sinks that ran slow for months clearing after a few strokes, often after home remedies had failed. The trick they repeat is water: fill the basin partway, tilt the plunger to let the air out, and cover the overflow. One owner with a double sink keeps two and uses the second to block the other drain.
One owner with a grease clog still needed a plumber with a snake. Another found plunging blew gunk around the basin, and a few felt the plastic was cheap or the suction weak. Keep a rag nearby, and expect to pull some hair out by hand.

Clogged sink: the short version
Pull the stopper
Lift out the pop-up stopper or the strainer if it comes free. Clear any hair you can see.
Seal the other openings
Plug the overflow hole with a wet cloth. On a double sink, block the second drain with a stopper or a rag held down by hand.
Add water
Run water until it covers the plunger's mouth by an inch or so. The plunger needs water to push.
Let the air out
Set the plunger over the drain at a tilt, then press it flat until the bubbles stop.
Plunge
Work 10 to 15 firm strokes, keeping the mouth on the drain. Pull the last stroke up sharply.

Questions
Black, white or the two-pack?
Black and white come as single plungers. The two-pack of black ones lets you keep one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom, or use the second to block the other side of a double sink.
Why do I need to cover the overflow?
The overflow hole connects to the same drain. If it's open, the push escapes there instead of reaching the clog, so hold a wet cloth over it.
Can I use it in the toilet?
It isn't sized for a toilet. Use one of the toilet models there and keep the Shorty for sinks.

I wish I’d had purchased this a long time ago because it cleared the bathroom sink drain completely. I have taken the pipes apart a couple of times over the past year and cleaned them out and even ran a drain snake through the pipe in the wall. This little plunger cleared the drain better than disassembling and cleaning.
It works
Definitely works in my kitchen sink. Though I still had to hire a plumber to run a snake because of my own accident with hot bacon grease, but this thing sucks the stuff out. So it helped me decide that, yes, I had to cough up the big bucks and get a plumber.

Really was skeptical, but this thing is great. Used it immediately after delivery and it worked great. Drain wasn't fully clogged, but very slow to drain, not any more! Never thought I needed this, but I was not about to use the toilet plunger in the kitchen sink. Glad I stumbled across this. Love the size so I can store it under the kitchen sink. Would recommend.
